Flashback Friday - It's All About Network

Today, I'm gonna give you some links to blogs that have been an inspiration and a source to long-forgotten music for me. Many of my Flashback Friday-posts wouldn't have happened without the contribution of these fine people. So thank you all, and keep up the good work! :)
Born Again 80s has a new Weekend Mix, and some classics from Level 42, Erasure and Kraftwerk amongst many others. And don't forget to visit his brilliant forum!
Dreamtime Mix offers Dodi's remixes of Spandau Ballet's Gold, and you can also find more Remixes of Simple Minds or Bryan Ferry on his blog.
DJ Shooter always compiles some cool remixes. The latest ones are a 80s Fun Mix with Blondie, Taylor Dayne or Duran Duran in it, or the Cool Ass Mix with the Blow Monkeys, Laura Branigan or Yaz. Go and get them!
Visit The Lost Turntable to read about some impressions of the Lollapalooza Festival. His rantings about Do's and Dont's is very funny, and he's soooo right about it!!!
Bandit's B-Sides, Rarities & Mixes offers you the B-Side of my favourite Pet Shop Boys song!
If you're more into rock, visit Cygnet Comittee's blog and get some Clash and Judas Priest remixes!
Retro Wonderland digs up some great mixes all the time. His latest finds come from Lisa Stansfield, Gino Latino, Dead Or Alive and - omfg - Modern Talking!!!
The Sun Burns My Eyes also wants to burn your ears. Get special mixes of Depeche Mode, Sandra, Jane Wiedlin and Alison Moyet on his blog.
Revolución Retro wants your sex. And you can also find Mr Mister, Robbie Nevil and Mick Jagger hanging around there... wonder why? :)
New Wave Time Machine has great mixes of Pet Shop Boys (Always On My Mind), U2 (Two Hearts Beat As One), Level 42 (The Chinese Way) and the over 22 minutes long mix of New Order's Video 5 8 6!
Fancy some videos? Visit 80s And Me then for some stuff from Erasure and... erm... Fancy (how lame was that...?)
Lost In The 80s tells us about Men Without Hats, Divine and Sheena Easton.
The Big 80s collects music videos from those glory days. If you have some time to kill, I suggest you visit this blog... but set an alarm as you might loose yourself there!
I'm invited to an Oldies party as a DJ tomorrow night, and I'm really looking forward to it! The dress code is Flower Power, and I expect some really curious figures to turn up. Should be fun! :)
And here are some mixes I've found with just a little research on google:
Howard Jones - New Song (Remix)
Michael Jackson - Don't Stop Till You Get Enough (Josh Wildfire Remix)
Massive Attack - Sly (Remix)
Right Said Fred - I'm Too Sexy (Remix)
The Stone Roses - Fool's Gold (Ritm Remix)
The Temptations - Papa Was A Rolling Stone (DJ Jazzy Jeff & Pete Kuzma Remix)
A Flock Of Seagulls - I Ran (Remix)
Animotion - Obsession (Kissy Sell Out Remix)
Labels: Flashback Friday, Mixtape

Hi Chris, just wanted to let you know that our updates are for blogs that offer music for download, not links.. that is our department, so if you don't have any music on your blog then ... you don't really have any updates.. for us at least.
Thanks for understanding.
Have a nice week-end
=M=
Hi, you have a GREAT blog !
I'm DJ D from http://retro-remixes.blogspot.com
Thanks, D, and welcome here! Feel free to link back from your blog to here; I will do the same on my next link-update! :)
Hi Chris,
Awesome blog man.
By the looks of your list I think you will dig these electronica covers of 13 U2 songs on my album The Marcus Satellite Tribute To U2. Imagine some 909's as Larry, a bunch of 303's as the Edge and Adam, and some kick-ass vocalists as Bono and you get the idea.
It's also on iTunes.
Enjoy!
Marcus
Thanks, marcus... will check out your stuff!
Cheers
Chris
Thanks for the mention!
Cheers
Cygnet
